The Z18 incorporates Adaptive Recoil Compensation (ARC) in order to maintain accuracy during fully automatic fire. It uses weights that are electronically slid in direct opposition to the natural recoil of the rifle resulting in unprecedented accuracy even with the powerful 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge.
Aside from this the weapon now features an increased rate of fire of 800 rounds per minute (compared the the SCAR's 600), a shortened stock, A carry handle, the addition of a 3-round burst mode, and many smaller internal improvements.
VariantsEditThe only Variant to date is the Z18 PDW which has a larger magazine, shorter barrel and lightened stock.
- The name Theseus was inspired by the Greek hero who is famous for slaying the minotaur in the center of the labyrinth.
- The Z18's standard sights include a 3x scope located within the handle and a small red-dot intended for CQB. The red dot, however can be removed and back-up iron sights are present in the form of grooves in the top of the handle itself.
- Many operators choose to add a foregrip as the weapon can prove to be a little on the heavy side.
