A "clean" Mother Of All Revolvers.

Overview[]

The S&D MOAR (Mother Of All Revolvers/Monstrously Overpowered Autoloading Revolver) is a special high-performance revolver designed by Phoenix Precision Firearms. It is Dr. Phoenix' horrible mistake of a brainchild, but nonetheless it exists. The revolver is chambered in the feral .500 S&W Magnum round, and is the very first production revolver in this caliber with a six-shot cylinder.

It is a semi-automatic revolver with a unique action which required a bit of explaining: Located entirely behind the cylinder, this action is one of the most ludicrous mechanical contraptions that still work. Whenever a shot is fired, a bolt equipped with heavy rollers (roller-delayed blowback) and an extremely stiff spring is pushed back by the pressure exerted onto the fired case, and extracts it. The bolt moves the action cover with it, and the extracted case is then flung to the right. When the spring forces the bolt to return, a grooved rod between this rear action and the cylinder enables the latter to rotate to the next position, and finally the bolt latches onto the next round. This process also cocks the internal hammer. When the time comes to reload the revolver, pulling on the cylinder release lever pulls back both the grooved rod and the bolt without the extraction process taking place, and the cylinder swings out left as it usually would.

The revolver also features a rubber grip, built-in muzzle brake and mild reliability problems.

Accessories[]

The MOAR lends itself to customization rather well, with several types of sights (all removable) being sold by PPF, a top rail that allows the mounting of an optic sight, and a bottom rail that could be used for laster and the like, but is usually fitted with a metallic barrel weight.
