The MOR-1 Serombong Maut (Malay for Chimney of Death) is an infantry mortar developed by NS Arms Corporation. Its primary task is to provide additional firepower support to combat units over longer distances, supplanting the PG-1 Piorun grenade launcher.

History[]

Culminating from their basic knowledge on producing grenade launchers, it was felt by everyone at NS Arms that mortars are the next step in enhancing their knowledge on crafting firearms, particularly crew-served support weaponry. Inspired by Crusher Corp's Mk. I Mortar, armourers searched through various sources and utilising their own knowledge to produce the MOR-1.

Early plans were in place in early December 2015. A functional prototype was unveiled on New Year's Eve, followed by a pre-production model on the 7th of January 2016.

Weapon Design[]

The MOR-1 operates much like most infantry mortars in the world today. It is loaded from the muzzle of the weapon. It fires a 60mm shell of various types, ranging from explosive shells to illumination and smoke shells. A 3-man crew comprising of the gunner, loader, and the spotter operated the weapon under normal circumstances. The mortar can be broken down into several components for ease of transport.
