The Ramos Defense industries group is a leading defense manufacturer with both its major bases of operation located in NSW, Australia and Catalonia, Spain.

The Ramos Defense Industries owns and operates several subsidiaries that manufacture and provie a number of defense assets. Such as; small arms, armored vehicles, surveillance systems, tracking systems, ect…

As of 2016 RDI currently operates 5 subsidiaries which includes:

Escudo internacional: Military vehicle manufacturer

Espada: private military contractor

Ramos tech: Weapons systems manufacturer

Aguila: Avionics system manufacturer

Ramos Armas[]

Ramos Armas is parent organization of the RDI tracing its roots to Marco Ramos. In 1905 Marcos Ramos designed his first firearm at the age of 20, and with the help of his father’s Automotive manufacturing company, Fabrica Catalonia (FC), they were able to produce and market the FCA modelo 1905. The Modelo 1905 was a bolt action hunting rifle that made a modest profit for the Fabrica Catalonia, enough for the company to continue producing Emilo Ramos’ other designs. When the Spanish Civil war erupted, Fabrica Catalonia was made to devote all of its manufacturing capabilities in support of the Repulicans by producing ammunition, tanks, artillery, small arms, ect…. 1938 when the Nationalists started its invasion of Catalonia, Ramos Fled to Australia bringing some of is machinery with him. During this time in Australia, Ramos restarted the family company but renamed it Ramos Armas abandoning its automotive roots. In 1975 Emilio Ramos died at the age of 95 with more than 10 small arm designs under his belt. Since its inception the company has grown and its various branches consolidated into the Ramos Defense Industries. In 1980 the RDI reoppened a Ramos Armas and Escudo Internacional manufacturing plant in Catalonia.
