This historical rifle was the first design made by the founder of present day RDI. It was manufactured by the family's automotive company based in Catalonia, Spain. Although designed as a hunting rifle this rifle along with several other FCA designs served during WW1 and the with the Republicans in the Spanish civil war of 1936-1939. The gun was designed to use the German 7.92×57mm Mauser S Patrone but a later version the Modelo 1930 was chambered to fire the .303 British round.
