The BWI (Boston Weapon Industries) Hessian is a 7.62x51mm NATO Battle Rifle that has been submitted to a competition to replace the SG 550 in the Swiss military. It utilizes a piston driven system with a reciprocating charging handle. It has a polymer upper and lower receiver, which greatly reduces the Hessian's weight. It is extremely reliable and very effective at longer ranges.
